Florentine Fantasy

ADVANCED CLASS
This design, “Stained Glass”, consists of 15 different stitches and patterns using three values of silk floss and one of metallic of the student’s choice . It is done on 18 mesh eggshell canvas and teaches drawing on canvas and laying silk threads. The teaching fee is $180, and materials run about $85. It is taught in the evenings both Spring and Fall. The prerequisite is having completed the Int. Class., or equivalent. “Stained Glass” has won gold medals, best of shows and blue ribbons in needlework competitions at the local, state, national and international level.

INTERMEDIATE
CLASS This Sampler Pillow consists of 13 different stitches taught over an eight-week period. It is stitched on 13 mesh eggshell canvas in three values of one color and two values of another color of the student’s choice. The teaching fee is $170, and materials run about $45. It is taught in the evenings both Spring and Fall.

BEGINNER CLASS A NEW beginner piece from Mrs. Stitches! This sampler consists of 10 different stitches over a six-week period and is worked on 13 mesh canvas in colors of the student's choice. The teaching fee is $85 per student plus materials.

Farmer's Daughter This unique piece was designed by Jane Zimmerman and is a needlepoint adaptation of a well-known quilt pattern. It is worked on 18 mesh eggshell canvas in one shade of silk and metallic of the student's choice. The class lasts 4 weeks and teaches the student multiple composite filling patterns. The teaching fee is $90 plus materials. It is taught in the evenings both Spring and Fall as needed. Its prerequisite is "Stained Glass."

Dominoes And Squares Another Zimmerman design, this piece is more involved because of the multiple Japanese filling pattern techniques. It is worked on 18 mesh eggshell canvas in one shade of silk and metallic of the student's choice. The class lasts 4 weeks and the teaching fee is $90 plus materials. It is taught in the evenings both Spring and Fall as needed. Its prerequisite is "Stained Glass."
